What buildings actually saved.

Real numbers from pilot buildings — HVAC runtime reduction, energy cost delta, and occupancy-normalized comparisons.

32%

average HVAC cost reduction across pilot buildings

How we measure savings.

Baseline: 12 months of BMS interval data (HVAC kWh, AHU runtime, zone temperatures) from before Celaxis deployment. We normalize for heating and cooling degree-days and occupancy headcount. A milder summer or a lower headcount quarter doesn't count as our savings.

Comparison: HVAC kWh in Celaxis-controlled periods versus the same normalized baseline months. This is pilot data from fewer than 10 buildings — we say that clearly because the range will narrow as more buildings come online. We don't cite case studies we didn't run ourselves.

1

Pull 12 months of BMS interval data before deployment — HVAC kWh, runtime, zone temps.

2

Normalize baseline to degree-day and occupancy averages for the comparison period.

3

Measure HVAC kWh during Celaxis-controlled periods using the same normalization.

4

Delta = normalized baseline minus controlled period. Dollar savings at actual utility rate including demand charges.

28%

HVAC Runtime Reduction

Average across pilot buildings. Measured as reduction in AHU operating hours per normalized degree-day versus 12-month pre-deployment baseline.

18%

Lighting Energy Reduction

Buildings with automated lighting control via BMS integration. Daylight-linked dimming + pre-occupancy schedules combined.

$42K–$68K

Annual Savings per 100K sqft

Range reflects tariff structure. Buildings on time-of-use rates with steep 15-minute demand charges reach the high end. Flat-rate tariffs see the lower bound.

12%

Peak Demand Reduction

Reduction in 15-minute peak demand interval, which drives the demand charge line item on most commercial utility bills.

Hartfield Tower, Portland OR

Monthly HVAC cost before: $38,400. After 6 months with Celaxis: $24,900. Monthly savings: $13,500 — of which $4,800 was demand charge reduction alone.
